Salt-free water softener, an effective solution against limescale!

Sodium, calcium and magnesium are mineral salts constantly present in tap water. Then, too much accumulation in your pipes will lead to limescale problems. Salt-free water softeners are therefore often used to solve this hard water problem. SoluCalc explains why you should opt for a salt-free water softener. We will therefore explain which one to choose, which is the best appliance and also what the advantages of such a softener are.

First of all, depending on the region or even the city where you live, your tap water may be harder or softer. Also, the harder the water is, the more limescale is contains and results in an ordeal to clean up. In fact, the more limescale you have, the faster your household appliances will clog up. In addition, the level of hardness of the water served in your home depends on many factors.

Have a CO2 water softener installed in your home!

Would you like to enjoy all the advantages of our salt-free water softener at home? Then contact SoluCalc now: we will get you in touch with a certified installer to install your device at home. The SoluCalc maintenance-free salt-free water softener is installed after the water meter by a professional.

There is another considerable advantage to installing a salt-free water softener. When you have the softener installed, the technician takes care of the settings and installation of the entire system. This means that you don’t have to worry about it. What’s more, once the whole set-up is complete, you won’t need to pay much attention to it. SoluCalc does not require any special maintenance. In addition, it will save you the budget needed for any other water softener system every year.

Resin is often a major problem with salt water softeners. In other words, resin is a complicated component to recycle, which is why salt-free water softeners are to be preferred if you want to protect the environment. Actually, SoluCalc is a salt-free water softener solution that uses a simple and natural chemical process. SoluCalc injects food CO2 directly into your water supply. The calcium particles present in the water are then transformed into calcium bicarbonates, non-scaling components.

We have two SoluCalc ranges. The first is the 1-inch SoluCalc suitable for flats and houses with 20 to 25 inhabitants. The second range is the 2-inch SoluCalc suitable for communities and joint ownerships properties with 100 to 200 inhabitants. It is therefore up to you to choose which range to place on your pipes according to these criteria.

You may be wondering what is the best type of water softener. That’s why we will try to answer by comparing the two types.

The salt softener uses a lot of water to regenerate its solution. Therefore, you must regularly buy new bags of salt and carry out manipulations on this softener.

On the other hand, a salt-free CO2 softener requires no maintenance, does not use unnecessary water for regeneration and does not require any effort to change the gas bottle periodically.

So: which system will you prefer?

As you can see, the CO2 softener modifies the nature of the carbonates present in the water, freeing your pipes from limescale. This softer water is therefore better for your skin and hair. You’ve probably already noticed that, depending on where you shower, your skin reacts more or less positively. It can easily become irritated or dry if the water is too hard. Softened water will make your body feel more pampered and you’ll see your skin problems disappear. Your hair will also be silkier, no more repeated masks to nourish it from the inside out. Finally, a body that’s well hydrated from the inside also makes a difference on your skin, which will be less prone to drying out.

Using a salt-free water softener in your home therefore allows you to take better care of your body and skin. Don’t wait any longer to see the results!

There are two types of salt-free water softeners: magnetic and CO2. The electromagnetic salt-free water softener electrically charges the calcium and magnesium ions so that they cannot settle in your pipes. The electromagnetic device does not eliminate limescale. It makes it soluble in the water, just like CO2 salt-free softeners.

Unlike salt softeners or salt-free magnetic water softeners, the SoluCalc does not change the structure of sodium, calcium and magnesium ions, and does not use magnets to operate. SoluCalc has a direct influence on the formation of limescale by transforming limestone, also called calcium carbonate, into calcium bicarbonate. Calcium bicarbonate, known as CaCO3, has interesting properties for you and your plumbing. Calcium bicarbonate is non-incrusting and can be wiped off with a cloth.

In contrast to the magnetic salt-free softener, the SoluCalc does not change the taste of your water either.

Are you convinced by all the benefits of a salt-free, maintenance-free and regeneration-free water softener solution to fight limescale? There are several brands on the market that offer salt-free water softeners at different prices. Depending on your needs and the formula you are looking for, you will prefer one or the other brand of water softener in Belgium or in France.

At SoluCalc, we offer you a convenient package: a certified installer comes to your home and sets up your appliance so that you don’t have to worry about anything. Enjoy softer laundry, increase the life of your dishwasher and washing machine. Enjoy a nice tea in your descaled kettle, all without having to do anything. It does not require regular maintenance, or even any maintenance at all.

Don’t want to invest in a salt-free electromagnetic or CO2 water softener? It is possible to make your water less hard naturally. For example, filter jugs are effective for the water you want to drink. There are also solutions such as a reverse osmosis filter or a water filter. These are placed at the outlet of your tap.

Unfortunately, these solutions do not protect your appliances, water heater, taps, pipes, etc. against scale formation. The only long-term and complete solution against limescale is a water softener.

SoluCalc has developed two ranges of salt-free water softeners at attractive prices. Discover yours according to the size and therefore the needs of your household. The first is the 1-inch model. This is ideal for homes and buildings with an annual water consumption of less than 300m3. Do you consume more than this amount annually? Then we strongly recommend the SoluCalc 2-inches maintenance-free salt-free water softener.

The average price of an electromagnetic salt-free softener or a CO2 softener can vary depending on the type of model chosen and the quantity of water, i.e. the number of cubic metres to be treated.
