A natural problem, a natural solution
Limescale is calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) dissolved in water. When water is heated or evaporates, it deposits on surfaces. SoluCalc solves this problem at source by injecting CO₂ into the water.

How does CO₂ injection work?
By dissolving CO₂ in water, carbonic acid (H₂CO₃) is created. This reacts with insoluble calcium carbonate to form calcium bicarbonate Ca(HCO₃)₂ — a soluble form that remains suspended in water and no longer deposits.
The natural CO₂ reaction
In practice: how does it work?
Water enters the SoluCalc
The device is installed directly after the water meter, on the main water supply.
CO₂ is injected proportionally
A flow sensor adjusts CO₂ injection in real time according to the amount of water flowing through.
Limescale is neutralised
The calcium bicarbonate formed remains soluble: it flows through your pipes and appliances without depositing.
Water comes out natural and healthy
No sodium added, no salt water discharged. Beneficial minerals are preserved.
The benefits of CO₂ technology
Salt-free
No salt or sodium added to your water. Ideal for health-conscious individuals.
Zero waste
No regeneration cycle, no salt water discharged into the environment.
Minerals preserved
Calcium and magnesium remain in your water for your health.
Minimal maintenance
Only periodic CO₂ cylinder replacement is required.
Eco-friendly
Reduced carbon footprint compared to traditional salt softeners.
Effective from day one
Immediate results throughout your entire installation.

The CO₂ cylinder: the fuel of your SoluCalc
SoluCalc operates with a standard CO₂ cylinder. Its lifespan depends on your water consumption — generally between 6 and 18 months. When empty, two options are available.
