BILT Gent: Flanders' largest building and interior fair
The fair long known as the Bisbeurs (Bis, bouw- en interieursalon) has a new name from 2026: BILT Gent by Bis. Same fair, same venue, same time of year.

Expect everything for building, renovating and furnishing: structural work, insulation, windows, heating and heat pumps, kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing and water treatment, plus advice sessions on grants and financing. Most exhibitors speak Dutch first, but English is widely understood.
Batireno and Energie & Habitat: the Walloon renovation fair in Namur
Batireno is Wallonia's reference fair for building, renovation and energy performance. It runs over two consecutive weekends.

This year's edition is especially timely for homeowners in Wallonia: the region's new renovation support scheme is being rolled out progressively from 1 October 2026, with mandatory energy audits and loan formulas such as Rénopack and Rénoprêt. The late opening on Friday 16 October is dedicated to talks on lowering your energy bill.

Install Day: the trade fair for installers
Install Day is the one-day trade fair for the installation sector, organised by Techlink. It is reserved for professionals.

Tips for visiting a building fair in Belgium
- Pick your day. At BILT Gent the fair opens at 13:00 on weekdays and is usually quieter than at weekends. At Batireno, Monday 12 and Friday 16 tend to be calmer. Quieter days mean longer, more useful conversations with exhibitors.
- Shortlist stands in advance. Both public fairs publish their exhibitor lists online. Note the stand numbers you want to visit.
- Bring your documents. A floor plan, photos of your utility room (boiler, hot water cylinder, water meter) and recent bills help exhibitors give you concrete advice.
- Check your water hardness. Your water supplier publishes hardness per municipality: De Watergroep, Farys, Water-link or Pidpa in Flanders, SWDE, inBW or CILE in Wallonia, Vivaqua in Brussels. Belgian suppliers usually express hardness in French degrees (°f).
- Ask for a tailored quote. Prices quoted at a fair are often generic. A quote based on your home and your consumption is the only fair basis for comparison.
What you'll learn at the SoluCalc stands
