Become a SoluCalc Dealer: European Concession Opportunities in 2026

SoluCalc, the Belgian manufacturer and European pioneer of CO₂-based water softeners, is expanding its dealer network across Europe. Four new territories opened between 2024 and 2026 (South-Rhône and Hauts-de-France in France, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands), and several major regions remain available. Particularly across France, Germany, and parts of Switzerland. If you're an entrepreneur, plumbing professional, or industry distributor looking to build a recurring-revenue business around a genuinely differentiated technology, this is what the model looks like and how to apply.

Why SoluCalc operates through territorial dealers

A water softener isn't sold like a kitchen appliance. It needs to be installed, configured to local water hardness (a customer in Paris doesn't have the same needs as one in Hamburg or Geneva), serviced over time, and supported by someone who knows the local market.

That's exactly what a dealer model delivers: a local partner who understands their region, the local plumbing trade, the regional water utilities, and the cultural specifics of selling to homeowners or property managers in their country. They have every reason to do it well because the territory is theirs.

Rather than building an anonymous reseller channel, SoluCalc made the deliberate choice of exclusive territorial concessions. No internal competiton, no price wars between partners, no leads dispatched to multiple competitors. You build your zone, it's yours.

Belgium is well covered today, so the immediate opportunities sit at the European level. In France, Germany, Switzerland, and a few smaller markets where hard water is the norm and demand is mature.

How the dealer model works in practice

What you bring

  • A registered legal entity (Ltd, GmbH, SAS, BV, AG — depending on the country you operate in)
  • Initial investment for opening stock and installation tooling
  • A service van for installations
  • Willingness to develop the territory locally: homeowners, property managers, plumbing partners, kitchen retailers, real estate agencies

What SoluCalc brings

  • Exclusive territorial rights within your assigned zone
  • Full technical training at our Fleurus facility — equipment, installation, calibration
  • Sales and commercial training — value proposition, objection handling, ready-made quote templates adapted to your market
  • Marketing support — a localised page on solucalc.com, product sheets, brochures, photography, trade-show materials
  • Lead generation — inbound enquiries from solucalc.com on your territory are forwarded directly to you
  • Ongoing support — Confort Gaz Service for CO₂ refills, technical hotline, product updates
  • A protected technology — SoluCalc is the European pioneer of CO₂-based water softening, with a real competitive edge over conventional salt-based systems

Market context

  • Across most of Western Europe, 70 to 80% of the population lives in hard or very hard water zones — including northern France, the Benelux, much of Germany, southern England, and parts of Switzerland and Italy
  • The residential water-treatment market is driven by two long-term tailwinds: health (low-sodium dietary trends, WHO guidance) and the environment (progressive regulatory tightening on brine discharge in several regions)
  • A CO₂ softener answers both and our existing dealers have all expanded their activity within their first year of operation

Who this is the right move for

Three profiles tend to perform particularly well:

1. The independent plumbing or sanitary installer who wants to move beyond purely project-based revenue and build a real business around a brand, a recurring product (CO₂ refills), and an exclusive territory.

2. The career-change entrepreneur coming from a technical or commercial background, looking for a structured opportunity rather than starting something from scratch. Many of our dealers run their concession through a standard local company structure (Ltd, GmbH, SAS, BV).

3. The established distributor in HVAC, sanitary supply, or water treatment who wants to add a differentiating product line to their catalogue without cannibalising existing revenue.

If any of these sounds like you, keep reading.

Territories currently open

Belgium is covered. The genuine opportunities are elsewhere in Europe and the regions where water is hardest are prioritised, because demand there is most mature.

France (largest immediate opportunity)

  • Île-de-France (very hard water, massive market)
  • Grand Est (Alsace, Lorraine, Champagne)
  • Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (excluding South-Rhône)
  • Brittany, Normandy, Pays de la Loire
  • Nouvelle-Aquitaine
  • Burgundy-Franche-Comté
  • Centre-Val de Loire
  • Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (excluding Vaucluse)

Germany

  • Multiple regions to be defined — particularly Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, where water hardness is highest

Switzerland

  • French-speaking cantons (Romandy)
  • Other regions on a case-by-case basis

Other markets

  • Selected opportunities possible in Austria, Italy (north), and the UK open to discussion for the right profile

If your country isn't listed but you see a clear opportunity, it's still worth a conversation. We'd rather discuss a credible plan early than miss a good partner.

The application process

  1. Initial contact — you reach out via the dedicated form, specifying the territory you're interested in and your background
  2. Scoping call (1 hour, video) — we look together at whether profile and zone fit
  3. On-site visit at our Fleurus headquarters in Belgium — you see the factory, showroom, team, and equipment in real conditions, and meet other dealers
  4. Business plan workshop — we build a realistic 3-year projection together for your specific territory
  5. Concession contract signature and start of training
  6. Launch — typically 2 to 3 months between first contact and first installation

We don't reply within 24 hours. We don't push for fast commitment. This is a 5-to-10-year partnership both sides deserve the time to get it right.

Frequently asked questions

What's the upfront investment to become a dealer? It depends on the size of the territory and your launch ambition. We share specific figures during the scoping call, once we've confirmed the zone is available.

Do I need to be a plumber or hold a technical qualification? No. SoluCalc training covers the technical side fully. That said, a background in sanitary, heating, or water treatment makes the commercial start clearly easier.

How long until I generate revenue? Our dealers typically complete their first installations within the month following training. Profitability builds gradually through local prospecting and the leads we transmit.

What happens if I underperform on my territory? The contract includes reasonable commercial targets. If a zone is underused, we discuss it. The goal is to support you first. Termination for underperformance is rare.

Can I run this alongside another activity? Yes — several of our current dealers do. The condition is that SoluCalc remains a priority and gets the development time it needs.

What language do I need to speak? You need to be fluent in the dominant language of your territory. Working language with SoluCalc HQ is French or English — both work fine.

Is the technology protected by patents? Yes. SoluCalc holds intellectual property on key elements of the CO₂-based softening process. As a dealer, you operate under the brand and the technology with full backing.

If by this point you're thinking "this might be for me", the next step isn't signing anything — it's having a conversation. We look at the zone, the market, your profile. If it clicks, we move forward. If not, we've saved each other time.
